I have just replaced the battery in my x reg 1.8 ford mondeo duratec, once reconnected the radio wanted the radio code which i found on a sticker in the book along with the radio code etc, when entered it is not accepting the code, I cannot get the unit out either to get the number from the side of it for dealer to do it! OK, there is something you can try if you have the radio code for the car. The display can sometimes be reset by disconnecting the battery for around five minutes and then reconnecting again. This allows the capacitive charge in the display to deplete and can sometimes get it working again. Hi, recently bought 06 Mondeo estate zetec with built in sat nav. Don't find using the sat nav very user friendly but the real prob is the poor radio reception. Is this a common prob with this setup? Mondeo 2010 plate with 6000 CD: Bluetooth & AUX suddenly stopped working - Turned radio on and held power button in for about 8 to 10 secs and the the display went blank. Lifted finger off power button and display lit back up again. If you can removing the radio, check to see if the GPS antenna has detached, or maybe do a hard reset ie disconnect the battery for 20 mins then refit. It would not even respond to the 'Radio' display selection button. Using the Converse controls I could select Radio but changing stations did nothing other than affect the Converse display, It was stuck on the DAB band though.
